Thanks for posting, Catherine. To Borders NYC: will Christian also be there for the signing? Will copies of the audiobook be on sale?
Will personalizations be permitted? About two years ago, I went to a signing by Senator John Edwards at this same B&N and personalizations and individual photos weren’t permitted, although I was told in advance they would be.

Hey Howard. If you’re referring to the audiobook not being available, I just clicked on the pic on the right and was taken all the way thru the order process (I stopped short of ordering because I’ve already pre-ordered mine). Are you speaking of something different?
And I’ll find out about Christian being at Borders - I wonder if they know what a boon that would be. Of course, they wouldn’t want him to get more attention than the author ;~)

Christian will not be at this particular event. He and his beautiful wife Melissa are expecting a baby soon, and I believe he’s staying close to home!
But I’ll be sure and report any future book signings that he might take part in.

I did attend Andy Gross’s book signing last night for Don’t Look Twice. What a gracious, humble guy; he actually reminds me of Christian in the way he treated his fans…he came early and greeted everyone individually.
If anyone doesn’t know, Andy’s last book The Dark Tide, was read by this year’s Oscar nominee Melissa Leo (Frozen River), so it’s no coincidence that he went up a scale to a Tony winner for this year’s release.
I had read The Dark Tide prior to the signing last night, so I was familiar with Andy’s great style. He uses the short chapters similar to his mentor James Patterson, which makes for easy travel reading. He read the group the first chapter of Don’t Look Twice, and while his voice doesn’t have quite the richness and texture of Christian’s, his reading did entice the crowd to read the remainder of the book.

How wonderful, Howard! I, too, read Dark Tide and am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to pop “Don’t Look Twice” (which I received in the mail yesterday!) into the CD player. It’ll be good to hear Christian’s voice again.
