Let’s Go Back…..

….back to Pal Joey, 1940’s…

These beautiful pictures come from the private collection of broadwayworld.com poster, “allofmylife”. I couldn’t identify each picture, so I numbered them for easy reference in discussions. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. And thank you, allofmylife, for sharing your precious collection with other Pal Joey fans.

  1. Wow! What an impressive collection. The stage shots are beautiful. The chorus girls’ costumes are very…fun…for that era.

I don’t visit the broadway world forums (a little intimidating for me) - I wonder if “allofmylife” is a collector of all beautiful Broadway things, or just Pal Joey?

  2. Interesting flower / face placement on the costumes in bw3, c4, and c6!! And I thought the chorus girl costumes in this revival were over the top - now I see the inspiration.

Great color pics. And in those first ones you can see the orchestra. That’s a lot of color for the 1940’s!

thanks for sharing these pictures - they’re great.
