  1. I can’t work these last 2 links
Did go to Broadway.com to see this (googled).

    It is terrific.

Always wondered about those exits and great backstage tour and a little glimpse of everyone in their dressing rooms. Matt Risch ( in Hoff’s old room- palatial )…Stockard Channing ( with a Christmas tree still up- looking as though she just rushed in…with hat and coat on… )… the ladies chorus room… a glimpse of exits and entrances.. always wondered about that. I’ll have to keep wondering about some of the quick changes in the show- there are a lot of them and they must be FAST…. but a great tour.

I love theatres and I’ve been in many that have an underpass… loved seeing how entrances are maneuvered…

Wow those stairs are STEEP to get on and off of backstage ( in heels yet?) Always wondered about that. And there is no stage L exit at all? I never noticed. Did she really say that!???:)

The underpass — the chorus, seeing everyone briefly in their dressing rooms. Matt Risch in a palatial room looking adorable after a nap- SC with a little Christmas tree still up :) Jenny Fellner’s own room, her ricolas and etc… the chorus girls (dancers) in their room, sign in sheet, underpass. Great stuff.

Loved the tour. My favorite, how cramped it is backstage: the couch for (must be … “Den of Iniquity”?) is hanging upside down - there is no room elsewhere - above Jenny’s head as she shows us I think the steep stairs backstage for the SR stair entrance.

I’m not getting these last two links- but glad to see this and I searched myself (a google) for it. Martha Plimpton was out (we are walked by the call-board) - she shoots 2? days I think I read - this must have been one of them ( and clearly a matinee day between shows I think, right before half hour at the evening is my guess)…

Great backstage tour and lots of fun. Had a feeling it was cramped on the whole back there and always wondered about that staircase exit ( really steep! In high heels! Ouch!).

    Thanks for posting this.

  2. ps got the link this time. great link and tour -thanks.

  3. Wow–I did enjoy this, and was happy to see Jenny (who has not gotten a lot of exposure) highlighted. Matt also demonstrated a keen sense of humor. Perhaps Broadway.com and Jenny took some prior blogging here to heart…Stockard, while quite cordial, had minimal screen time.. (Only joking, Ana…please don’t ‘write me up’.)

  4. Wonderful tour, Jenny. Funny! Matt was great.

  5. Glad I was not alone in enjoying it. Howard, you made me laugh. :)

  6. ps AP on Broadway ( podcast -on itunes) has an interview ( don’t kill me guys please- it does have her name up here on this page!)–with Stockard Channing. Specifically, she speaks about working with Matt , the two of them, alone ( and making suggestions) as they had to grow so quickly. For anyone like me who is interested. (AH I feel so alone in here!) :) (Where am I and how did I get here? ) :)

She speaks well of Matt Risch. (Very.)

It tells you how those changes grew so quickly. I became addicted in previews when he came on ( was there by accident his first night - though I had seen it before)– and it kept growing and every change, dead on, perfect. I ended up seeing a lot of previews. and even after was seeing changes and that he is in there with her.

Don’t throw tomatoes please! Just mentioning in case someone else other than me here also finds that stuff engaging and interesting. “AP on Broadway,” itunes podcast (theatre-related I believe) -the most recent episode to hit my itunes.

  7. Ana, ain’t no way I’m gonna throw a tomato!! You just might throw it back at me!! Thanks for the commentary. Would love to know more about your background. If you’d like, would you e-mail me at ht4524@aol.com? Thanks.
