  1. Stockard AGAIN??

  2. If these interviews were not posted I would not bother reading.

    Catherine, great job.

Thanks for posting this and the radio interview.

Because Catherine seems to be gracious enough to have kept the site going,

And it IS a PAL JOEY blog.

I bookmarked it because I am a fan of Stockard’s work and like Plimpton and the show.

I should not have read these comments, frankly.

Catherine - I think this is a great job.

You seem to include Hoff updates for those that desire them, even background on Zip? (Just saw that, glanced-I will read later. Comments? Not so much. )

And a gracious comment from Hoff- you added, Catherine.

I venture to say from what I have seen and read Hoff would despise you-”Ron.”

Too bad his fans seem not so gracious. He seems gracious.

    She is the leading lady.

And I love her body of work.

    Joe Egg. Tony

Tony noms, too many to keep track.
    Among her theatre work…

Six Degrees (Tony nom, Oscar nom?)

    House of Blue Leaves

Hell I am not her publicist and she hardly needs my ranting on here.

    I cannot read this.

    She stars in Pal Joey.

OK now I sink to your level for a moment ( no wait you are a moron that is impossible)—

Hoff is not in the show, Ron. Read the news lately?

Did I misread Catherine? It says “PAL JOEY BLOG”

She has been gracious enough as she posted to continue it though she is a fan of Hoff’s and it was based on his being in the show.

I don’t believe it BECAME an only Hoff blog.

No disrespect, but PAL JOEY and Hoff no longer go together.

Ron, this is the star of the show. The blog is supposedly about the show..

She has no need fo rlittle me to defend her body of work or her numerous fans.

Would you like it if I posted what “HOFF AGAIN”???

He strikes me as a gracious man who would not appreciate your rudeness.

    I won’t engage.

    I won’t read.

I am venting ad then I am done.

I read boards where intelligent discourse occurs.

I suggest: a hoff website, ron

    Go ahead, go for it

    create it

but dont bludgeon respected actors and expect his approval, i doubt you will get it

    just a hunch

i refuse to check typos or capitalize “ron.”

I would never post “HOFF again????”

RON- SHE STARS IN THE SHOW

THEE BLOG IS ABOUT THE SHOW

HOFF HAS, GRACIOUSLY AT THAT -DEPARTED.

WHAT PART OF THAT DON”T YOU GET?

OR DO YOU ENJOY MAKING YOURSELF FEEL BIG BY ATTACKING ACTORS WITH INCREDIBLE BODIES OF WORK AND INSULTING NOT THEM ( she’d never read this) but their fans. (YES,ME.)

I tried the high road ron. you and the posters below save one, are not worth ever clicking on. wish i had not.

yes Catherine had the gall to include an interview with the star of the show.

2- very well done. And, she is clearly a Hoff fan but apparently is not- an oaf.

Ron? yes the leading lady of THE SHOW, again

Ron? if that is such a drag?

One- sorry Catherine- maybe they want a Hoff site.

And two- should I comment under every Hoff interview here , what HOFF AGAIN??

It would be slightly more appropriate since HOFF left he SHOW!!!!

Catherine, you did a great job here. between “ron ” and the misogynist - sexist- ageist–oh where to end…comments below ( 9 at last count, all men but one, and she was a good post.

Intelligent, reasoned posts - are fine - I don’t mind.

Ron? Yes, she is the star. Hoff–nice as he is- would probably hate these type of posts- and two- left the show after one week of previews.

    GONE.

    THIS: STAR OF SHOW.

    “paljoeyblog.com”

Funny–I take Catherine at her word–she’s included a lot from Hoff and is a fan herself.

I have nothing against him- he seems gracious and a nice man.

How would you feel ron ( I assume you are a fan of Hoff’s? or do you randomly spread venom?) How would you like in the opposite situation ( or even this blog, under every Hoff post- something I would NOT stoop to namely him AGAIN?????

ron- you seem incapable of reason or discourse and i am venting at you and misogyny below,

    ron- she is the star.

it would be appropriate to include her interview if this is about the show.

ckearer: she- star. Not even chorus-or featured: STAR.

If she is out- I ask for refund: STAR.

    Lots of fans.

Hoff- seems nice. mst have talent ( didn’t see Jersey Boys not my thing) - but

    ron? Hoff—not in show

    this: interview with star

this apparently is a huge problem for you ron.

    therapy perhaps. antipsychotics?

randomly attacking the star of the show might…. just might offend those who believe she has a large excellent body of work and is excellent in this role.

    star.
interview? with star? on blog about show?

    appropriate.

your …. “comment” not so much ron,

Perhaps you really need and want a Hoff fansite.

    Which is fine.

But this and the comments below?

Were the situation reversed ( and mind you her body of work is greater than Hoffs and nationally her name is by known, and for good reason: a long , excellent body of work.

    Emmys. West Wing?

    She stars in Pal Joey.
Hoff is no longer in the show.
If the situation were reversed, would you enjoy reading: HOFF AGAIN?

( Were he starring I assure you I would not post such a thing anywhere.)

Hoff’s statement in a difficult situation seems gracious -very.

    Ditto Stockard and Plimpton.

Ron? I dislike reading sites where I get angry. Not my idea of fun.

    The show is Pal Joey.

    Hoff is gone.

The stars are : Stockard, M. Plimpton, Jenny Fellner.

Stockard and Martha Plimpton get well deserved entrance applause for their body of theatre work.

Even if Hoff were in the show? It makes sense for national PR ( to publicize an extension) - or even NY PR- to use the most well known actor, That would still be Stockard unless Hoff had gotten RAVES. Then maybe both.

Did I make a mistake? This seemed a fair blog and I saw it was created by Hoff fans.

Catherine (and other admins? (Don’t know) kept it open and has included Hoff updates statements, references to the show and yes - (what a shock) an interview with its star. Risch is doing a great job but the person with the nationally and most theatrically recognized body of work both is Channing.

Joe Egg. Six Degrees. House of Blue Leaves, West Wing.

Emmys. A Tony and mayny Tony noms, an Oscar nom. She and Plimpton get audience entrance applause.

I love these Stockard interviews and the one above with SC and Plimpton.

The last I looked this was a Pal Joey blog with a statement that it was staying open in support of the show despite its inspiration being Hoff.

SO interviews with its leading lady and leading ladies plural are not inappropriate.

They are the reason I bookmarked and read.

Perhaps Catherine should make the site better known on theatre boards for those with interest in the show as a whole.

Hoff is no longer in Pal Joey, Ron.

  3. APOLOGY TO CATHERINE and to those who post well (glanced below) e.g. kindly.

Catherine- lost my temper, did not proof, check typos, was rude.

I apologize and feel free to remove it.

I simply lost my temper completely given some misogynist comments somewhere below along with Ron’s.

Glancing further I see plenty of posts that are positive, acknowledge some of us are indeed fans of Stockard Channing’s work, and don’t attack in posts.

The randomness of some posts along with Ron above just… I tried, I lost it.

    Won’t happen again.

Sorry,Catherine, great blog, lots of variety, sorry other (nice!) posters.

    Lost my temper.

I like the hard work you put into this, the variety. I actually may watch butterflies, Catherine. (I didn’t think I would, but I set my dvd thanks to your blog.)

More importantly- two great interviews above, one with Plimpton as well–thanks for those, and the great job integrating the blog,
Feel free to remove my post.

I tried to remain rational and just … lost it and hit send.

Sorry Catherine. Sorry, all that posted so nicely below ( glanced).

    Catherine, the blog is great.
