Catherine- this is one of my favorite interviews. Though the play arrow above her nose (which is on a lot of good places to get it) is annoying, the interview is great.
She early on did Frost Over the World, on youtube (legitimately) - through of all things- the (sp?) AL Jazheera channel. (If curious Google youtube her name and Frost Over the World.)
She talks about Pal Joey - he asks if she is retiring (!!!!AAAHHHH ) She says, no, and tells us she lives in Florida and a funny story about two older bridge playing women behind her- when she said yes it is me, I live here now- one ’s face dropped (mine would have also) thinking you only go to Florida to live if you retire. She assured Frost, nope , not retiring. Funny story, It is why M Plimpton suggests on that radio interview (Lopate? or the AP on Broadway itunes podcast? Not sure)– after the show closes, how about a road trip together… to Florida.
(Duh.)
Anyway- this IS one of my faves. So thanks for its being here.
